TelRad Service

A specialist in Audio-Visual repair
and maintenance since 1945.
Without taking your TV apart and running some diagnostics there is usually no way to determine its repairability. There are exceptions to that, for instance: A physically broken screen , replacement of a physically damaged plasma or LCD is almost always not cost effective to repair.

Your set: Totally dead or no picture, blinking error code, etc. Almost always the only way to accurately diagnose your TV is with a hands-on approach.

We have several case histories of people that were told over the phone by "The Big Box Store" that their set was not worth it and to just throw it away. In several instances we have found nothing more than a menu setting in the wrong setting!!! Needless to say the customers were in one way very happy they brought us the set for a
FREE ESTIMATE and on the other hand they were very angry with the "Big Box Store" for almost throwing away a perfectly good tv!

Of course not every case turns out like this but we find about 75% of our walk-ins to be repairable.
There are several factors that must be considered.
For In-Home: Minimum trip fee plus minimum labor Vs. replacement cost for that screen size.
For In-Shop: minimum labor Vs. replacement cost for that screen size.

Almost any way you look at it, it has to be worth a free estimate!
